Colobockle (Michiko Tachimoto)
Born in Kanazawa in 1976. She is a picture book writer. She graduated from Osaka University of Arts, Department of Design, Visual Information Design Course. She is a visiting associate professor at the Department of Bungei, Osaka University of Arts.
She is active in the fields of graphics and illustrations such as picture books, magazines, commercials, posters, and CD jackets, as well as in a wide range of fields such as video, crafts, miscellaneous goods, TV commercials, advertising illustrations, and book binding. She continues to unfold her imaginative and humorous world, regardless of genre item, and present her playful work.
She presides over the label "colobockle", which plans and produces multimedia for children.
Her books include "Annie's Little Train," "Kotori no Yuenchi," "Ohoshi-sama," "The King of Hadaka," "Gloves," and "3 Biki no Kuma." She has also released a DVD of the animation "Continued Story", which she wrote, directed, and illustrated.
