KIYOSHI ISHII
Born in Kanagawa prefecture in 1941
In 1963 he traveled to Northern Europe for two years, mainly in Finland, and since then he has visited Northern Europe once a year.
1967 Graduated from Musashino Art University
1967 Enrolled in the Tokyo Broadcasting Art Department (TBS)
1968 He has a solo exhibition in Finland and Sweden
Since then, he has held solo exhibitions at Isetan, Mitsukoshi, Takashimaya, and Tokyu Department Store.
2002 Solo exhibition commemorating the 100th anniversary of Atsugi High School.
2003 Unveiled "Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter", a work depicting the four seasons of Oberlin University

The artist's hometown, Odakyu Elmi Road in Shinyurigaoka, unveil new works every year.
He is a member of the Finnish Association of Japan. Held numerous solo exhibitions overseas, mainly in Helsinki / Finland, Stockholm / Sweden, and in Japan, mainly in department stores. He is an artist who consistently draws on the theme of Scandinavian landscapes, and his involvement has been from his student days to the present. The experience and individuality rooted in his life creates a quiet atmosphere peculiar to Scandinavia in his work, and the delicate touch expresses the charming scenery with emotion.
