Satoshi Odagiri was born in Hokkaido in 1943. After graduating from university, he won the first
prize at the "shigenkai exhibition" in 1977, and has won several incentive awards since then. He
won a prize at the Nitten exhibition in 1979, and has been selected at the same exhibition 15 times since then.
